Muhammad(pbuh) was born in Mecca in the year 570.Since his father
died before hisbirth, and his mother shortly afterwards, he was
raised by his uncle from the respected tribe ofQuraysh.As he grew
up, he became known for his truthfulness, generosity and sincerity, so
thathe was sought after for his ability to arbitrate in disputes.
The historians describe him as calm andmeditative. Muhammad (pbuh)
was of a deeply religious nature, and had long detested the decadence
of his society.
It became his habit to meditate from time to time in the Cave of Hira
near Mecca. At the age of 40, while engaged in a meditative retreat,
Muhammad(pbuh) received his firstrevelation from God through the
Angel Gabriel.This revelation, which continued for 23 years is
known as the Quran. As soon as he began to recite the words he heard
from Gabriel, and to preach the truthwhich God had revealed to him,
he and his small group of followers suffered bitter persecution,
which grew so fierce that in the year 622 God gave them the command to
emigrate.
This event,the Hijra 'migration', in which they left Mecca for the
city of Medina, marks the beginning of theMuslim calendar.After
several years, the Prophet and his followers were able to return to
Mecca, where they forgave their enemies and established Islam
definitively. Before the Prophet saw dies at the age of 63, the
greater part of Arabia was Muslim, and within a century of his death
Islam had spread to Spain in the West and as far East as China. He
died with less than 5 possessions to his name.
While Muhammad (pbuh) was chosen to deliver the message, he is not
considered the"founder" of Islam, since Muslims consider Islam to be
the same divine guidance sent to all peoples before.Muslims believe
all the prophets from Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus etc. were all sent
with divine guidance for their peoples.Every prophet was sent to his
own people, but Muhammad(pbuh) was sent to all of mankind.Muhammad
is the last and final messenger sent to deliver the message of Islam.
Muslims revere and honor him (pbuh) for all he went through and his
dedication, but they do not worship him."O Prophet, verily We have
sent you as a witness and a bearer of glad tidings and a warner and
as one who invites unto God by His leave and as an illuminating
lamp."(33:45-6)
Answers:
Lack of education or an attempt to discredit Islam.
They just can not relate to worshiping a god without the human tangible which links them to that god. It is that warm and fuzzy feeling they need to help them feel superior to others.
We don't think so, but for a few of our less educated brothers.But Muslims are correct that we worship Jesus as the divine humbling himself to take on human flesh, the Incarnation.
They don't know about your religion to know any different.
Because they worship Jesus as god, they figure everyone else is similar. or should be similar.

I don't think they do.Most people understand that muhammed was just a prophet, nothing more.They know that allah is the one who is worshipped as a god.
I do think it's funny that adam, noah, moses and jesus are considered islamic though.Guess I never knew that odd tidbit of information.Christians believe that the jesus character was god incarnate though.So, if your allah was trying to relay the same message to everyone, he failed, considering how many offshoots of those religions there really are.
We don't.Most of us with historical knowledge know you worship a Pagan moon god.This is why there are moons on top of your churches and why you bow like mindless slaves toward a rock in the desert.
Jesus Christ warned us of false prophets as He foretold us ALL things.Not some things,ALL things that matter.Anyone coming along wishing to add to it is a FALSE TEACHER.Whether you worship this false teacher is not the issue.The issue is you read Mark chapter 13 and think Jesus Christ is a liar.

Because either He lied,or your buddy that you lavish equal praise on as our Lord and Savior is a liar.You can't believe both at all.If you think you do,then you are the most blinded of the bunch.The smart ones know the score and know it is a power move on the uneducated masses.It is why you get in so much trouble when you ask tough questions while Christians are encouraged to do it.

I think that most Christians know that you worship Allah, based on the precepts as espoused by Muhammad.

In Islam Muhammad is a messenger from God; the final prophet – but more, he is sinless & the perfect model for mankind. Any definition of Islam that excludes Muhammad is a false definition. But he is more than this; his life is the context of the Quran. The Quran revolves & evolves around his life.
The Prophet is closer to the believers than their selves, & his wives are (as) their mothers. … Q 33:6
Narrated Anas: The Prophet said "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children & all mankind." (Bukhari: vol. 1, bk 2, no. 14, Khan)
You need to feel this passion & love for Muhammad to understand Islam; but Muhammad is even more than this.
A. MOHAMED US ASSOCIATED WITH ALLAH IN THE SHAHADA, THE ISLAMIC CONFESSION OF FAITH.
There is no God but Allah & Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
To be a Muslim & enter paradise you must confess Muhammad with God. Compare this to the Shema of Moses where God alone is confessed.
Here, O Israel: The Lord our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart … (Deut 6:4-5)
B. MOHAMED IS ASSOCIATED WITH ALLAH IN PRAYER (SALAT). EVEN THOUGH MOHAMED IS DEAD HE IS ADDRESSED IN THIS PRAYER.
Greetings to you, O Prophet, & the mercy & blessings of Allah.
Prayer should be to God alone (tawheed). Thus, the Salaat is shirk.
C. MOHAMED IS ASSOCIATED WITH ALLAH IN LOCATION: Mosques are to be places of worship to God alone (tawheed). For this reason no one is ever to be buried inside a mosque; nor are mosques to be erected over graves. This would be to associate a person with a space that is for God alone.
And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. Q: 72:18
Narrated 'Aisha & 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas: When the last moment of the life of Allah's Apostle came he started putting his 'Khamisa' on his face & when he felt hot & short of breath he took it off his face & said, "May Allah curse the Jews & Christians for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets." The Prophet was warning (Muslims) of what those had done. (Bukhari: vol. 1, bk. 8, no. 427)
Yet, Muhammads grave is inside the mosque in Medina. The mosque in Medina is a major place of pilgrimage for devout Muslims & yet it is shirk.
D. MOHAMED IS ASSOCIATED WITH ALLAH IN LOVE & FORGIVENESS. Love & forgiveness in Islam do not come from God alone to us, instead they are through Muhammad (shirk).
Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If you love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you & forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (Q 3:31)
E. MOHAMED IS ASSOCIATED WITH ALLAH IN BLESSING. The idea of relics giving Gods blessing is shirk because the power of God would be associated with his creation in some way. However, Muhammad gave out the relics of his hair as a blessing to others.
Abu Bakr reported: (He called for) the barber &, pointing towards the right side of his head, said: here, & then distributed his hair among those who were near him. He then pointed to the barber (to shave) the left side & he shaved it, and he gave (this hair) to Umm Sulaim … (Muslim: bk. 7, no. 2992)
F. MOHAMED IS ASSOCIATED WITH ALLAH IN SALVATION. Salvation in Islam does not come from God alone to us (tawheed), instead it is through Muhammad (shirk).
Narrated Ibn Umar: On the Day of Resurrection the people will fall on their knees & every nation will follow their prophet & they will say, "O so-&-so! Intercede (for us with Allah), "till intercession is given to the Prophet & that will be the day when Allah will raise him into a station of praise & glory. (Bukhari: vol. 6, bk. 60, no. 242)
O Prophet!..accept their allegiance & ask Allah to forgive them. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Q 60:12
G. MOHAMED PRACTICED SHIRK. Muhammad continued the pre-Islamic practice of venerating the Black Stone. Bukhari, Muslim & Abu Daw'ud reported that 'Umar approached the Black Stone & kissed it. Then he said: "I know that you are a mere stone that can neither harm nor do any good. If I had not seen the Prophet kissing you, I would have never kissed you."
Al-Khatabi said: "This shows that abiding by the Sunnah of the Prophet is binding, regardless of whether or not we understand its reason or the wisdom behind it."

It's unfortunate a western kid may get a notion (from all the flap about conflict) and only be able to envision pbuh standing on the back of a military jeep manning a 50 caliber mount.
You give a small but great service to our faiths—upon which we have peace and reason to build faith together. From the farthest western Christian.
It is a concern, though, about Islamic law. I mean, if there was such a thing as Christian law running our courthouses, then I would be the first to get the hell out of here!
